Buffalo Sabres Players Celebrating Goal During Game Against Nashville Predators Bridgestone Arena

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Buffalo Sabres, riding a four-game winning streak, aim to extend their recent success as they face the struggling Nashville Predators on Thursday night at Bridgestone Arena. The Sabres (22-26-5) have been bolstered by the return of key players, including forward Tage Thompson, who leads the team in goals and points.

The Predators (18-28-7), despite a disappointing season, boast a strong home record of 12-10-3. Players like Ryan O'Reilly and Steven Stamkos, who have historically performed well against Buffalo, pose significant threats. ‘We need to play a full 60 minutes and capitalize on our chances,’ Sabres coach Don Granato said.

Buffalo’s lineup includes Thompson, who missed the previous game due to injury, alongside forwards Peterka and Kulich. The Sabres will face Nashville’s backup goaltender Justus Annunen, who has a 6-3 record and .908 save percentage this season. ‘He’s a big guy who covers a lot of the net,’ Granato noted. ‘We need to challenge him early.’

The game is the Sabres’ final contest before the 4 Nations Face-Off break, adding urgency to secure another win. ‘We’re feeling confident but know this won’t be an easy game,’ Thompson said. Puck drop is at 8:00 PM ET, broadcast on MSG-B and WGR 550.
