Tommy Carr Miami Ohio Commitment Announcement

SALINE, Mich. – After a standout junior season that captured the attention of college scouts, Tommy Carr has officially committed to Miami University (OH) for his collegiate football career. The Saline high school quarterback made the announcement via social media platform X on Friday morning.

Carr’s impressive performance during the 2022-2023 season, where he threw for over 2,500 yards and 25 touchdowns, solidified his status as a Division I prospect. His contributions on the field not only led Saline to the playoffs but also earned him All-State honors.

“I’m excited to take my talents to Miami and be part of such a promising program,” Carr said in his announcement. “I want to thank my teammates, coaches, and everyone at Saline for supporting me along the way.”

Miami (OH) is part of the Mid-American Conference and has a history of developing successful quarterbacks. The RedHawks finished their previous season with a 6-6 record and are looking to build on that success in the upcoming year.

“Tommy is a great fit for our system, and we believe he has the potential to excel at the next level,” said Miami head coach Chuck Martin. “His leadership and skill set stood out during the recruiting process.”

As Carr prepares for the transition to collegiate football, he will also look to finish his senior season strong. The Saline football team is gearing up for another competitive year, and expectations are high for both Carr and the program.
