Cooper Kupp Seahawks Injury Update

LANDOVER, Md. (AP) — Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp is officially inactive for tonight’s game against the Washington Commanders due to a heel and hamstring injury. Kupp was listed as questionable as of Friday and missed practice on Thursday and Friday.

The veteran receiver has had a challenging season, recording 24 catches for 293 yards and one touchdown over seven games. His absence leaves a noticeable gap in Seattle’s offense as they prepare to face a struggling Commanders team.

In addition to Kupp, the Seahawks will be without cornerback Derion Kendrick, wide receiver Jake Bobo, linebacker Jared Ivey, offensive lineman Mason Richman, and receiver Dareke Young. Jalen Milroe will serve as the emergency third quarterback.

On the other side, the Commanders are also missing key players, including top receiver Terry McLaurin, who is out with a quadriceps injury. Among those inactive for Washington are cornerback Noah Igbinoghene, linebacker Kain Medrano, offensive tackles Trent Scott and George Fant, and tight end Colson Yankoff.

Seattle is expected to rely heavily on Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has emerged as a key target in Kupp’s absence. The Seahawks, holding a 5-2 record this season, are coming off back-to-back wins against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans. After tonight’s game, they will host the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 9 at 4:05 p.m. ET.
