Seahawks Kick Off Offseason Workouts with New Faces

RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks began their offseason training program with a workout session at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center on April 23, 2025. This marked the second practice for the team as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season.

The team featured several key players in attendance, including quarterback Sam Darnold and wide receiver Cooper Kupp, both of whom joined the Seahawks this offseason. Darnold, wearing number 14, and Kupp, sporting number 10, were eager to showcase their skills in the new environment.

Defensive tackle Kenneth Odumegwu, defensive end Leonard Williams, and linebacker Boye Mafe were also among the players practicing. Williams participated in multiple drills, demonstrating his readiness for the new season.

“It’s great to be out here with everyone and getting things started,” Darnold said. “We have a lot of work ahead, but I’m excited to make the most of this opportunity.”

Kupp echoed Darnold’s enthusiasm, stating, “Being part of this team is a fresh start for me. I can feel the energy and commitment from everyone.”

As they gear up for the NFL Draft, the Seahawks have ten picks, including five in the first three rounds. Head coach Pete Carroll expressed optimism about the team’s prospects and the infusion of new talent.

Practice focused on lifting and on-field workouts, allowing new and returning players to bond as a team. Fans and coaches are eager to see how the team develops throughout the offseason.
