RENTON, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks‘ 2024 season ended with a 10-7 record, just one spot shy of a playoff berth, but the team’s offensive struggles have raised questions about the future of first-year offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. Under rookie head coach Mike Macdonald, the Seahawks improved defensively but faltered on offense, finishing 19th in points scored and 15th in total yards.

Grubb, who joined the Seahawks from the University of Washington, was tasked with revitalizing an offense that struggled to establish a consistent identity. Despite high preseason expectations, the Seahawks ranked 23rd in points per drive (1.78) and 21st in EPA per play (minus-0.05), their lowest averages in years. The run game was particularly disappointing, finishing 30th in the league despite the presence of second-round picks Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet.
