SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken are set to face off against the Philadelphia Flyers in their fifth game of the current NHL season on Thursday evening. The matchup will take place at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle at 7 p.m. local time.

Television coverage is provided through KING 5, KONG, and the Kraken Hockey Network, with pregame analysis starting at 6:30 p.m. The evening’s broadcast is set to feature special appearances by University of Washington basketball star Isaiah Thomas during the pre-game show and Kraken co-owner Sam Halloway during intermission. Notably, this game marks Linda Cohn’s debut with the Kraken, a longtime SportsCenter anchor who will be joining the broadcast team.

For viewers looking for new episodes of “Law & Order” and “SVU,” adjustments have been made. These episodes will air later in the night, at 1:37 a.m. and 2:37 a.m. respectively, due to the game’s broadcast. They will also be available for streaming on Peacock.

The Seattle Kraken come into this game after an impressive 7-3 victory against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday. Last season, the Kraken finished with a 34-35-13 overall record, including a 17-18-6 record at home. Their power play success rate stood at 20.7%, with 50 goals scored on 242 opportunities.

The Philadelphia Flyers, on their part, are coming off a 4-3 overtime loss to the Edmonton Oilers, where player Matvei Michkov scored two goals. This program, filled with team-focused feature stories and personal interviews, is scheduled to air Saturdays at 10:30 p.m. with encore presentations on Sundays.
