Seattle Seahawks’ Jake Bobo Limited in Loss to New York Giants
Wide receiver Jake Bobo of the Seattle Seahawks had a minimal presence in the team’s 29-20 defeat to the New York Giants on Sunday. Bobo was on the field for only two of the Seahawks’ 58 offensive plays and managed to catch his sole target for a modest gain of three yards.
Bobo, who is in his second year of NFL play, finds himself in a competitive depth chart situation, lined up behind star receivers such as DK Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Tyler Lockett, as well as Laviska Shenault. Consequently, his participation in Seattle’s offensive game plan has been limited. Over the first five weeks of the season, Bobo has accumulated a total of six receptions amounting to 48 yards in total.
Due to his limited role and statistical output, Bobo remains an unlikely option for fantasy football enthusiasts. Looking ahead to Week 6, the Seahawks will play against a formidable San Francisco 49ers team, further challenging Bobo’s chances to make a significant impact.
