Severe Storms Expected Tonight in West Palm Beach, Florida

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Strong to potentially severe storms are anticipated this evening.
Heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and damaging wind gusts are expected, with the possibility of hail and isolated tornadoes. The area is under a Level 1 threat for severe weather.
According to the WPTV First Alert Weather forecast, there is a significant concern about a marginal risk for excessive rainfall, particularly on Tuesday and Wednesday. Rainfall totals could reach 1 to 2 inches broadly, with localized areas experiencing up to 3 to 4 inches.
Scattered showers and storms are likely to continue into Tuesday and Wednesday, maintaining similar severe weather threats. The forecast indicates that the Saharan Air Layer will strengthen later in the week, which may limit storm development.
While rain chances decrease, temperatures are expected to rise, with highs projected to reach the upper 80s. Isolated storm chances could persist over the weekend, as humidity remains high and temperatures approach 90 degrees.
