Shaedon Sharpe Basketball Game

INGLEWOOD, California — The Portland Trail Blazers snapped their two-game losing streak with a 125-117 win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night. Shaedon Sharpe, the team’s shooting guard, led the charge with an impressive 35 points.

Sharpe’s performance was crucial, as he came just two points shy of his career high. He also recorded five rebounds and three assists during his 30 minutes on the court. The key moment came late in the third quarter, when the Pelicans narrowed the Blazers’ lead to three points. Over the next minute, Sharpe scored six points, including a powerful transition dunk that extended their lead to eight.

What made Sharpe’s game even more remarkable was his shooting efficiency. He didn’t miss any of his 11 two-point field goal attempts. Trail Blazers interim head coach Tiago Splitter praised Sharpe, saying, “I think Shae is one of the keys for us to be a successful team. He can create shots, get to the rim, pull up, and score from mid-range.”

This performance marked Sharpe’s second consecutive game with over 30 points, surprising no one within the organization. “His summer was very good. The way he worked every day, he brought it. Very professional and just trying to get better every day,” Splitter noted.

Sharpe started the season slowly, shooting just 38 percent from the field over the first five games, but his recent form has energized the team. Trail Blazers center Donovan Clingan emphasized the importance of Sharpe’s shooting, stating, “It spaces the floor, it gives us energy, it gives us an extra boost. Shae’s one heck of a player. The way he’s been playing these last couple games is something special. I know Shae; he’s going to keep that going.”
