Sharon Stone Reveals Alleged Hollywood Producer's Demand To Improve Co Star's Performance

Renowned actress Sharon Stone has recounted a shocking revelation about her encounter with a prominent Hollywood producer during the filming of the 1993 movie ‘Sliver’.

On the Louis Theroux podcast, Stone disclosed that the late Hollywood mogul, Robert Evans, purportedly advised her to engage in a physical relationship with co-star Billy Baldwin to enhance his performance in the movie.

Stone claimed that Evans alleged that her on-screen chemistry with Baldwin was lacking, implying that Stone needed to be more accommodating to improve the film’s quality.

The incident reportedly took place shortly after Stone’s major success in the hit film ‘Basic Instinct‘ alongside Michael Douglas.

Stone revealed that the pressure to ‘sleep with’ Baldwin was equated with enhancing his acting abilities, contrasting with her experience working with professionals like Douglas who focused solely on their craft.

Evans, a legendary figure in the industry, passed away in 2019, leaving behind a legacy of producing iconic films like ‘Rosemary’s Baby’, ‘Love Story’, and ‘The Godfather’ during his tenure at Paramount Pictures.

‘Sliver’ ultimately performed decently at the box office, grossing $116 million worldwide, even amidst the controversies surrounding the production.

Stone had first mentioned the troubling encounter with Evans in her 2021 memoir, ‘The Beauty of Living Twice’, where she discussed the unequal treatment and demands faced by women in the competitive world of Hollywood.

Aside from the revelations about her struggle in the industry, Stone has been vocal about the challenges women face in male-dominated environments, notably calling out abusive behavior by powerful men like Harvey Weinstein.
