Sheamus Wwe 2024 Survivor Series Match

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — WWE superstar Sheamus, known as “The Celtic Warrior,” recently opened up about his triumphant return to the ring in 2024 after an eight-month hiatus due to a shoulder injury. During an appearance on the “My Mom’s Basement” podcast, Sheamus shared insights into his favorite matches of the year and his journey back to peak performance.

Sheamus highlighted his triple threat match at Survivor Series against Bron Breakker and Ludwig Kaiser as a standout moment. “I really enjoyed that last triple threat at Survivor Series, which was probably my last match of 2024,” he said. “But, man, there’s been a lot, like, I think the first match I had with Ivar where I came back with extra cushion around my waist was a pretty nerve-wracking one for me because I didn’t even think I was going to be able to wrestle again.”

He also praised his match with Ivar, noting the wrestler’s talent and the personal significance of the bout. “I was pretty nervous with that, but Ivar is such a great talent it was easy enough,” Sheamus said. “Also, the triple threat with me, Drew [McIntyre], and [Ilja] Dragunov, I think that was the match for me that I actually felt, ‘I’m back.’”

Sheamus explained that his initial return was fraught with anxiety over his neck injury, but the match with McIntyre and Dragunov reassured him of his recovery. “After that bout, I knew I was going to be fine and fully committed to my goal of finally winning the WWE Intercontinental Championship,” he added.

Meanwhile, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray shared high praise for WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER during a separate podcast appearance. “I think if you gave me a choice and you said you can only watch one person’s match tonight, I think I’d say GUNTHER,” Ray said. “I know I’m going to get something that I love. I know that there’s going to be a great story in the match along with great physicality.”

Ray emphasized GUNTHER’s consistency and skill, calling him a “bang for your buck” performer. “GUNTHER, he’s so, so good at what he does,” Ray said. “You watch GUNTHER’s stuff, you can’t find holes in his game.”

Both Sheamus and GUNTHER have been pivotal figures in WWE’s 2024 season, with Sheamus making a remarkable comeback and GUNTHER continuing to dominate as a top-tier champion. Their performances have solidified their places as fan favorites and key players in the wrestling world.
