Simone Biles has been making waves at the 2024 Paris Olympics, and this time, her husband Jonathan Owens is right there cheering her on. Owens, a safety for the Chicago Bears, decided to take time off from training camp to support Biles as she competes for Olympic glory.

Biles kicked off her journey in Paris with the qualifying round for team gymnastics, and Jonathan couldn’t contain his excitement. Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he called her performance ‘flawless’ as she dazzled on the balance beam and racked up some impressive scores.

The U.S. women’s gymnastics team, with Biles leading the way, scored a total of 172.296, placing them at the top. But despite the cheers, there was a small hiccup—Biles felt a bit of strain in her calf during her warm-up for the floor exercise.

Biles’ coach, Cecile Landi, praised her resilience, saying how proud she was of Biles and everything she’s overcome. It’s a mighty comeback for Biles, considering her struggles at the Tokyo Games where she withdrew due to a condition known as the ‘twisties’ that affected her sense of movement.

<pOwens, who married Biles last spring, is eager to witness her compete on the grand stage. He's been given some time off from his team, and the Bears' coach even expressed their support for Owens to be there for his wife during such a significant event.

For Biles, having Owens present during these performances means a lot. The couple met back when he was with the Houston Texans, making it easier for her to support him. Though Owens recently joined the Bears, it’s been a journey of balancing their busy schedules and showing up for each other.

Family is also in the cheering section, as Biles’ parents and her adorable niece Ronnie are expected to be there supporting her. Biles’ family members have always been her biggest fans, never missing a competition—except for the Tokyo Games, of course.

This Olympics marks a special moment for Owens, as it’ll be the first time he sees Biles compete internationally. The couple truly values every opportunity to cheer each other on, especially during these landmark moments in their careers.
