South Carolina Gamecocks Offensive Line Coach Relieved of Duties

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina offensive line coach Lonnie Teasley has been relieved of his duties, according to GamecockCentral sources. Head coach Shane Beamer is expected to announce the decision later today.
Teasley was in his third season as the offensive line coach, having taken over in January 2023 after replacing Greg Adkins. He initially assumed on-field coaching responsibilities early in the 2022 season while Adkins dealt with health issues.
Before joining South Carolina, Teasley served as the offensive line coach at North Carolina Central University for two years and came on board with the Gamecocks in 2021 as an offensive analyst.
In the interim, running game coordinator and tight ends coach will take over the offensive line coaching duties.
This shakeup comes as the team continues to strive for improvement amid a challenging season. An official announcement regarding the coaching change is anticipated soon.
Teasley’s departure has significant implications as the Gamecocks prepare for upcoming matchups. It remains unclear how this change will impact the team in the short term but the transition may present opportunities for player development.
