Speedball Mike Bailey Reflects on Thrilling AEW Dynasty Match

Las Vegas, NV — AEW star Speedball Mike Bailey recently shared his thoughts about his Triple Threat Match against Kenny Omega and Ricochet at AEW Dynasty. In an interview, Bailey expressed excitement about the match, calling it ‘perfect’ and praising his opponents.

‘Man, I cannot tell you how much I loved that match,’ Bailey said. ‘I thought we nailed every single aspect of it.’ He highlighted Kenny Omega as one of the best wrestlers in the world, placing him alongside Kazuchika Okada. Both opponents have previously faced Bailey in AEW, giving him a significant experience.

Bailey also discussed the anticipation of Omega and Okada’s rematch at All In Texas on July 12. ‘I mean, there’s certainly a subjective part to that,’ he said regarding their previous matches. ‘But there’s not a very good argument that can be made against that.’ This adds more excitement to the AEW lineup.

Reflecting on his first time sharing the ring with Omega, Bailey stated, ‘The first time we got to work together, Kenny and I had a singles match in PWG, and I was amazed by how his brain worked.’ He emphasized how much it meant to him to wrestle Omega again after nearly a decade of waiting.

Bailey spoke about Ricochet, noting his differing career path while still being a significant part of AEW’s history. ‘I think what he’s doing now in AEW is terrible and I hate it, but it works really well for him,’ he said. Despite that, he acknowledged how meaningful the match was for him as it was his first pay-per-view appearance in AEW.

‘It set the tone really well for the rest of my time in AEW,’ Bailey concluded, looking forward to his future in the wrestling promotion.
