In a thrilling finale at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Sri Lanka celebrated a historic moment by clinching their first Women's Asia Cup title, defeating India by 8 wickets.

The match kicked off with India winning the toss and opting to bat first. They managed to post a total of 165 runs, with standout performances from Smriti Mandhana and a quick-fire innings from Richa Ghosh.

However, the chase turned out to be a stellar display from the Sri Lankan team. Captain Chamari Athapaththu led from the front with an impressive 61 runs, supported by Harshita Samarawickrama and Kavisha Dilhari.
