SSI Recipients to Receive Two Checks in November, But None in December
Supplemental Security Income (SSI) recipients are set to receive an unusual payment schedule in the upcoming months. Due to a scheduling adjustment, beneficiaries will receive two SSI checks in November, but there will be no payment in December.
The first check for November will be issued on November 13 to recipients whose dates of birth fall between the 1st and 10th of the month. The second check will be sent out on November 20 for those with dates of birth between the 11th and 31st of the month.
This unusual schedule is a result of the way the Social Security Administration aligns its payment calendar with the federal holiday schedule. Since December 1 falls on a Sunday, and the following day, December 2, is a federal holiday, the payment that would normally be made in early December is being pushed forward to November.
This adjustment is important for SSI recipients to plan their finances accordingly, especially given the absence of a payment in December. It is advised that beneficiaries take this into account when managing their expenses for the remainder of the year.
