Steelers Legends to Announce 2025 NFL Draft Picks from Green Bay and Ireland

GREEN BAY, Wisconsin – The Pittsburgh Steelers are gearing up for the 2025 NFL Draft, highlighting their rich history with iconic players announcing their picks. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will reveal the team’s first-round selection, the 21st overall, during the draft on April 27.
Hall of Fame wide receiver Lynn Swann, a member of the historic 1974 Steelers Draft class, will announce the Steelers’ third-round pick live from Green Bay. Swann, known for his unparalleled contributions to the franchise, reflected on his own draft experience, stating, “The Steelers called and made the pick. I didn’t know much about Pittsburgh at the time. I knew they wore black and gold, and I thought that was a great color combination.”
Joining Swann’s tradition of drafting representation is former defensive end Brett Keisel, who will announce a pick from Croke Park in Ireland. This marks the Steelers’ first-ever Draft Party in Ireland as they prepare for a regular season game at that venue later in the year, though the opponent has not yet been revealed. Keisel expressed his excitement, saying, “It’s a great honor to do this. There’s a lot of work that goes into the draft… the Steelers really try to develop their team through the draft.”
In addition, Tom McCormack, named the Steelers’ International Fan of the Year from Dublin, will announce one of the team’s selections on the draft’s third day. McCormack shared his emotional reaction to his recognition, saying, “I was absolutely speechless. I love the game. I love the Steelers. I just want to bring more people here to see the Steelers.”
The Steelers have six picks in total this draft, including a first-rounder, a third-rounder, and several others scattered across various rounds, as they look to enhance their roster with young talent. Anticipation grows around the selections, particularly as the draft approaches amidst existing trade rumors.
As the 2025 NFL Draft nears, the excitement surrounding Steelers legends Swann and Keisel adds a special dimension to the event, celebrating both the team’s history and its international fanbase.
