Steve Sarkisian, head coach of the University of Texas at Austin football team, and his wife Loreal Sarkisian have become a power couple both on and off the field. Married in 2020, the couple briefly announced a separation in 2024 but have since reconciled, with Loreal frequently seen supporting Steve during the 2024 football season.

Loreal, a personal stylist known for her gameday fashion, has been a constant presence at UT Austin games, earning her the nickname “The First Lady of Texas Longhorn Football.” She has built a successful career styling celebrities and CEOs, while also influencing Steve’s wardrobe. “His style has evolved. I’m happy for him,” Loreal told WFAA. “He has some style. He has some taste. I mean, obviously, he got my attention.”

The couple’s relationship has been a journey of highs and lows. They met while both working at the University of Southern California, where Steve was the head football coach and Loreal was an assistant coach for the track and field team. They married in 2020, but in July 2024, they announced their separation, citing the demands of their respective careers. However, by December 2024, they appeared to have reconciled, with Loreal once again supporting Steve during the football season.

Loreal, who grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, has always been passionate about both sports and fashion. “I’ve always been a part of the sports world,” she said. “I know people probably only see me as a fashionista and in the fashion industry but, for forever I was an athlete.” Her love for fashion led her to a career as a personal stylist, where she focuses on making her clients feel confident and stylish.

Steve, who has three children from a previous marriage, has found a strong supporter in Loreal. “I get to see him all day, every day, authentic self, involved in his craft and he is not only a student of his craft but, a master,” Loreal said. “It matters to him. I respect it and I appreciate that, knowing how hard he works at it day in and day out and what it actually means to him and especially the journey he’s been on to this day personally and professionally.”

As the University of Texas football team prepares for the College Football Playoff semifinal against Ohio State University, Loreal continues to be a steadfast presence on the sidelines, blending her love for fashion with her support for her husband’s career. “This is what I do. This is who I am,” she said, reflecting on her role as both a stylist and a coach’s wife.
