Sum 41 has decided to cancel their upcoming concerts in Quebec as part of their farewell world tour. This unfortunate news comes after one of the band members is dealing with a minor back injury that requires some time to heal.

The iconic Canadian rock band was scheduled to perform at the Grandes Fêtes Telus in Rimouski on August 1, the Agora in La Baie on August 7, the Agora at the port of Québec on August 8, and the Rock La Cauze festival in Victoriaville on August 9.

In a message posted on their Facebook page, Sum 41 emphasized that they made this decision out of concern for health and safety. They expressed their apologies to fans for this regrettable and unavoidable situation.

Along with the Quebec shows, two other concerts planned in Glasgow, Nova Scotia, and St. John’s, Newfoundland, have also been taken off the tour schedule. The band plans to pick up their tour again in September.

After nearly 27 years since their formation, Sum 41 has embarked on a worldwide farewell tour. As for the Grandes Fêtes Telus in Rimouski, they have acknowledged the situation.

Currently, no announcements have been made regarding the Rock La Cauze festival in Victoriaville, though they have assured the public that they’re working on an alternative solution.

For ticket holders for the shows in Québec and La Baie, refunds will be processed in the upcoming weeks, as confirmed by BleuFeu and Diffusion Saguenay.
