Super Eagles Midfielder Alhassan Yusuf Undergoes Scan for Quad Injury
Super Eagles midfielder Alhassan Yusuf is set to undergo a scan within the next 24 hours to determine the severity of the injury he sustained during today’s match against Equatorial Guinea. The Nigerian player is suspected to have suffered a quad injury and was forced to leave the game after 68 minutes on the field.
A source close to the situation revealed that Yusuf is currently able to walk normally, indicating that a tear in his front thigh muscles is unlikely. His performance during the match was commendable, considering he only joined the AFCON squad last week as a replacement for the injured Wilfred Ndidi.
The Antwerp star was one of the standout performers in the disappointing 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea. Despite the physicality of the game, Yusuf held his own and demonstrated his ability to compete at this level.
