Suspected Terrorists Attack Bus Carrying Pilgrims in Jammu and Kashmir, 10 Dead and 33 Injured
Ten individuals tragically lost their lives and 33 others sustained injuries in a devastating incident in Jammu and Kashmir‘s Reasi district. The attack occurred when suspected terrorists targeted a bus transporting pilgrims back from the revered Shiv Khori temple in Reasi to Katra. Upon opening fire on the bus at 6:10 pm, the assailants precipitated the bus plunging down a gorge.
The local police, in collaboration with villagers, efficiently evacuated all the passengers by 8:10 pm, under the supervision of the SP of Reasi. The injured were promptly rushed to hospitals in Reasi, Treyath, and Jammu for treatment. Tragically, the immediate aftermath confirmed ten fatalities and the injured were tended to across various medical facilities.
Following the incident, a joint operation command center was established on-site, comprising the police, Indian Army, and CRPF, to undertake a multi-dimensional mission to track down the assailants. Intelligence sources suggest that the attackers are suspected to be hiding in the mountainous terrains of Rajouri, Poonch, and Reasi.
