Sweden Faces Kosovo in Crucial World Cup Qualifier

Stockholm, Sweden – Sweden will host Kosovo on Monday in a vital World Cup qualifying match at Friends Arena. With both teams aiming for important points, the match is set to kick off at 2:45 p.m. ET.
Sweden is looking to bounce back after a tough start to the qualifying campaign, currently sitting with only one point from three matches. Despite having a talented squad, they suffered a shocking 2-0 defeat to Kosovo in the previous meeting last month.
“We need to turn things around quickly,” said Swedish midfielder Viktor Johansson. “Playing at home, we know we have to perform.”
On the other hand, Kosovo arrives with confidence after earning four points and currently standing second in Group B. Their previous victory against Sweden has set the stage for what could be another upset. Kosovo’s key players, Elvis Rexhbecaj and Vedat Muriqi, were instrumental in their last win.
“We believe we can do it again,” said Muriqi. “Sweden is a strong team, but we can compete.”
Both teams have experienced roster changes leading up to the match. Sweden will be without veteran goalkeeper Robin Olsen, who is sidelined due to a disagreement with head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson. Kosovo, meanwhile, has lost midfielder Florian Haxha to illness.
Sweden is favored to win according to recent betting odds. A victory is essential for them to revive their World Cup hopes, while Kosovo aims to solidify their surprising position in the group.
Live coverage of the match will be available on Fubo and VIX in the U.S. Fans outside of the country may need a VPN to access their normal streaming services.
