Aew Dynamite Orange Cassidy Takeshita Match

San Diego, California — The February 26 episode of AEW Dynamite featured a highly anticipated international championship match as Orange Cassidy sought to become the first three-time champion by challenging incumbent Konosuke Takeshita.

The match, held at Frontwave Arena, was pivotal for both wrestlers, especially with the upcoming Revolution pay-per-view scheduled for March 9 against Kenny Omega. Cassidy entered the bout determined and showed an impressive display of skill and tenacity, but ultimately fell short when Takeshita secured victory with his finishing move, Raging Fire.

“It’s all about the performance,” said Takeshita after the match. “Orange is a tough competitor, and it was an honor to face him.”

The card also featured several intense matchups, including Bryan Keith taking on Will Ospreay, who was looking to survive a bounty placed on him by Don Callis. Keith fought valiantly but fell to Ospreay’s signature moves, including a Styles Clash and Hidden Blade.

“I knew Keith would bring the fight,” said Ospreay. “But when it comes down to it, I’m here to stay on top.”

AEW’s Undisputed Kingdom made headlines during a triad match, defeating the veteran trio of FTR and Daniel Garcia. Adam Cole delivered a surprise victory with an innovative reversal that kept the audience on their feet.

In a high-stakes tag team match, The Murder Machines clashed with the new-age team of The Outrunners. Despite the odds, The Outrunners emerged victorious, showcasing their hard-earned path to an AEW Tag Team Championship opportunity.

The show also saw notable performances from talent such as ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, who handily defeated Aaron Solo before expressing concern for the bloodied Christopher Daniels backstage.

“It’s about loyalty,” Page stated. “When my friends are in trouble, I’ll always fight back.”

Meanwhile, with just under two weeks until Revolution, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation as Swerve Strickland hinted at a showdown with Ricochet, entering the floor with confidence and intentions on regaining title contention.

“Swerve came here to make a statement,” he declared. “And Ricochet will get the chance to prove himself again.”

As anticipation builds for Revolution, the stakes have never been higher in AEW. The drama, athleticism, and storylines continue to unfold in what is shaping up to be a thrilling annual pay-per-view.
