Taylor Lewan First Pitch Baseball

ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Former Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Taylor Lewan faced a tough crowd on Thursday night when he threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Busch Stadium.

Joining him was his podcast co-host Will Compton. The two were part of the pregame festivities before a Major League Baseball game.

Lewan, a three-time Pro Bowler, struggled with the throw, sending the ball sailing past the intended target and into the stands near the backstop. The awkward moment brought embarrassment to the football star.

After his misthrow, Compton stepped up to the plate and delivered a near-perfect pitch, adding to the contrast between the two performances.

Reflecting on his throw, Lewan described it as “the worst day of my athletic career.” He added, “That includes the Chandler Jones game.” In 2021, Lewan had a rough outing against the Arizona Cardinals, allowing five sacks to Edge rusher Jones in his first game back from a torn ACL.

Fans quickly took to social media, comparing Lewan’s pitch to 50 Cent‘s notorious first pitch at a New York Mets game in 2014, which also veered dramatically off course.

Despite the rough outing, Lewan was encouraged by fans online, reminding him to keep his chin up.
