Nashville, TN — Tennessee Titans wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffered a season-ending injury during the team’s game against the Houston Texans on Nov. 16. Ridley was carted off the field after just one play, a 13-yard reception.

Interim head coach Mike McCoy confirmed after the game that Ridley broke his fibula, a significant injury that will keep him out for the remaining seven weeks of the season. The injury occurred on his first play back from a hamstring issue that had sidelined him for three previous games.

Ridley’s return was highly anticipated after missing time earlier in the season. He was able to catch a pass on the Titans’ initial play, but the excitement was short-lived. Following the reception, he limped off the field and had to be carted to the locker room.

In addition to Ridley, the Titans faced challenges with injuries to their receiving corps during the game. This leaves rookie quarterback and No. 1 overall pick with limited options, as only three healthy receivers were available by the end of the game.

The Titans might promote players from their practice squad for their upcoming match against upcoming opponents. Among the potential adds are veteran players and a couple of rookies.

With Ridley finished for the season, he wraps up 2025 having appeared in only seven games for Tennessee.
