Denico Autry Nfl Game

HOUSTON, Texas — The Houston Texans activated defensive lineman Denico Autry and safety Jaylen Reed from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list on Monday, just in time for their game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Autry, who has been sidelined with a knee injury, is expected to strengthen the Texans’ already impressive defense, which leads the league in points allowed per game at 12.2. He contributed 13 tackles and three sacks in 10 games last season and added a sack during the playoffs.

Reed, drafted in the sixth round this year, also missed time due to a knee injury. His activation adds depth to the safety position, especially after the team moved on from another player during the season.

In addition to these activations, the Texans elevated cornerback D’Angelo Ross from the practice squad and waived cornerback Zion Childress. Ross has participated in two games this season, serving as a practice squad elevation.

Autry began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Green Bay Packers in 2014 but was soon claimed off waivers by the Oakland Raiders. He has since signed multiple contracts, including a recent two-year, $20 million deal with the Texans in 2024.

With the activation of Autry and Reed, the Texans aim to enhance their defensive capability as they prepare for the upcoming challenge against the Seahawks.
