Will Anderson Jr. Houston Texans Injury Practice

HOUSTON, Texas — Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. is managing hand and elbow injuries as the team prepares for their AFC divisional round playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. Despite the setbacks, Anderson fully participated in practice this week and is expected to start.

Anderson, a key player for the Texans, recorded 37 tackles in 14 regular-season games. His backups, Derek Barnett and Jerry Hughes, are poised to share the workload to prevent overexertion. Barnett, who played in all 16 regular-season games, notched 26 tackles, while Hughes saw limited action.

Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans expressed confidence in Anderson’s availability. “Will has been a warrior for us all season,” Ryans said. “He’s tough, and we expect him to be ready to go.”

The Texans face a formidable challenge against the Chiefs, who boast one of the NFL’s most potent offenses. Anderson’s presence on the defensive line will be critical in containing Kansas City’s dynamic playmakers.

Anderson’s injury status has been closely monitored, but his full participation in practice suggests he will play a significant role in Saturday’s matchup. The Texans are counting on his ability to disrupt the Chiefs’ offensive rhythm and help secure a playoff victory.
