LAHAINA, Hawaii — The University of Texas defeated Chaminade University 119-78 on Tuesday night at the Maui Invitational. Tramon Mark led the Longhorns with 19 points, six rebounds, and six assists.

Dailyn Swain contributed 18 points and nine rebounds, while Matas Vokietaitis shot a flawless 7-for-7 from the field, finishing with 16 points. Texas improved its record to 5-2 after suffering a narrow loss to Arizona State in the tournament’s opening round.

Texas dominated the game with an impressive shooting percentage of 66%, including 46% from three-point range. The Longhorns out-rebounded the Silverswords 59-20, showcasing their physical presence on the court.

Nathan Medina shined for Chaminade with 30 points, including eight three-pointers. The Silverswords fell to 2-3 after losing to Washington State in a close opening game, where they held a 20-point lead in the first half.

Chaminade started strong, briefly leading the game, but Texas quickly took control. Following an early dunk from Nate Sasser III that put Chaminade ahead 9-8, the Longhorns surged ahead, securing a comfortable 52-36 lead by halftime.

The second half saw Texas extend its lead with a strong 11-0 run, effectively sealing their victory. Looking ahead, Texas will face No. 23 North Carolina State in a consolation game, while Chaminade is set to play Boise State.
