AUSTIN, Texas – The Texas Longhorns will face the Chaminade Silverswords in the quarterfinals of the Southwest Maui Invitational on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2025. The game is scheduled to tip off at 9:30 p.m. Central at the Lahaina Civic Center in Maui.

Texas enters the matchup with a record of 4-2, while Chaminade has a record of 2-2 as a Division II program. The game will be broadcast live on national television, with Kanoa Leahey providing play-by-play and Sean Farnham serving as the analyst. Additionally, fans can listen to the Longhorn Radio Network, featuring Craig Way and Eddie Oran.

This will be the third meeting between both teams, currently tied 1-1, with the last encounter resulting in a Chaminade victory 86-73 back on November 19, 2012.

Texas head coach Sean Miller, in his first season with the Longhorns, has a long history in coaching, starting with an assistant role in 1992. He has a career record of 490-198 and has made numerous NCAA Tournament appearances with different programs. His counterpart, Eric Bovaird, has been Chaminade’s head coach for 15 seasons and is the longest-serving coach in the program’s history. Under Bovaird, Chaminade has qualified for three NCAA West Regionals and has a conference tournament title to their name.

Heading into the game, Texas boasts an impressive +11.8 rebound margin, capturing over 43 rebounds per game in the opening contests. Junior guard/forward has made headlines for reaching the 20-point mark in two consecutive games. Cam Heide, another junior forward, recently started for the first time and scored a career-high 20 points against a previous opponent.

The matchup against Chaminade presents a unique challenge for the Longhorns, shifting from conference play to a significant non-conference tournament setting. Texas will look to leverage its rebounding advantage and momentum gained from its recent games.

“We have to stay composed, especially in a setting like this,” Miller said ahead of the game. “Every possession counts, and we need to play as a unit to win.”

The Longhorns are aiming to advance further into the tournament as they face Chaminade, ready for a competitive battle on the court.
