Texas High School Star Byles Schedules Top College Visits

DALLAS, Texas — Deja Byles, a 6-foot-2 power forward from Faith Family Academy, is making waves in the recruiting world as she begins scheduling official visits to some of the nation’s top college basketball programs. Currently ranked as the No. 22 recruit in the 2026 class, Byles has garnered significant attention from major universities.
Byles’ fall itinerary includes visits to powerhouses such as UCLA, Stanford, USC, and Notre Dame. This follows her recent visit to Oregon last week. In October, she also made unofficial trips to South Carolina, Iowa, and North Carolina.
“I’m excited to see what each of these schools has to offer,” Byles said. “Each visit is an opportunity for me to explore my options and find the best fit for my future.”
The basketball season is gearing up, and USC is poised to play Notre Dame on Saturday, Oct. 18. The game, one of college football’s longstanding rivalries, will kick off at 4:30 p.m. PDT and air live on NBC.
USC head coach Lincoln Riley mentioned the complexities surrounding scheduling future matchups. “At some point, you gotta make a decision on what’s best for USC to win a national championship versus keeping these high-profile non-conference games,” he said.
Meanwhile, the recruiting spotlight also shines on a Top247 cornerback from Oradell, New Jersey, who is set to announce his college choice Monday at 2:30 p.m. during a ceremony at his high school. After visiting multiple schools this spring, he will make an official visit to the school of his choice.
The excitement of college recruitment is palpable, with prospects weighing their options for the future as they aim for success at the next level.
