Ncaa Baseball Rankings April 2025

AUSTIN, Texas — In a week filled with upsets, Texas has retained its No. 1 ranking in the NCAA baseball poll after sweeping Auburn in a series on home turf. As of April 21, 2025, the Longhorns are solidly at the top with an impressive record of 33 wins and 5 losses.

While Texas cruised, the rest of the rankings saw a series of shakeups. Last week’s No. 2 team, Arkansas, struggled significantly, losing a series at home against Texas A&M. The struggles continued for Arkansas, which has now lost four out of its last five SEC games, leading to its drop to third place in the standings.

Meanwhile, Tennessee, previously ranked No. 3, also faltered this week after losing a series at home to Kentucky. This turmoil opened the door for Clemson, which moved up to the No. 2 spot after winning two out of three games against Louisville, raising their overall record to 35-7.

In another notable shift, Vanderbilt made a significant leap from No. 15 to No. 8 after sweeping Georgia. The Commodores now boast an overall record of 30-10 and are performing well in SEC play with an 11-7 record.

LSU remains steady, rounding out the top five following a series win over Alabama, while Florida State and Oregon State also hold strong positions in the rankings. Notably, NC State has entered the poll, replacing Western Kentucky after winning eight out of their last nine games.

This week has certainly brought a wave of unpredictability, keeping fans and analysts on their toes as teams vie for better standings in the nation’s top college baseball competition.
