Texas Tech Vs Kansas State Basketball Game 2024

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The Texas Tech Red Raiders will face the Kansas State Wildcats in a pivotal Big 12 Conference matchup tonight at 8 p.m. at Bramlage Coliseum. Both teams are looking to rebound from recent losses and gain momentum in the conference standings.

Texas Tech (12-4, 1-3 Big 12) is coming off a heartbreaking 85-84 loss to then-No. 3 Iowa State on Saturday. The Red Raiders have struggled in conference play, with their lone win coming against Oklahoma State. Kansas State (7-8, 1-3 Big 12) is also reeling after a 30-point blowout loss to Houston, 87-57, at home.

“We need to regroup and focus on executing our game plan,” said Texas Tech head coach Grant McCasland. “Every game in the Big 12 is a battle, and we have to bring our best effort.”

The game will be broadcast nationally on CBS Sports Network and is available for streaming on Fubo. Texas Tech’s next five games include matchups against Baylor, TCU, and Texas, while Kansas State faces a tough stretch against Kansas, Oklahoma, and Iowa State.

Kansas State head coach Jerome Tang emphasized the importance of home-court advantage. “We need our fans to bring the energy tonight,” Tang said. “This is a must-win for us to stay competitive in the conference.”

Texas Tech leads the all-time series against Kansas State 25-23, but the Wildcats won the last meeting 68-58 in February 2023. Both teams are fighting to avoid falling further in the Big 12 standings, making tonight’s game critical for their postseason aspirations.
