TGL Competition Week 7: Exciting Matchups Ahead

Palm Beach Gardens, Florida — Week 7 of the TGL (Tech Golf League) competition will see all six teams in action, beginning with a doubleheader on Monday, February 24, 2025. The Los Angeles Golf Club will face the New York Golf Club, followed by Boston Common Golf striving for its first win of the season against the Atlanta Drive Golf Club. Action wraps up Tuesday evening with league leader, The Bay Golf Club, competing against the Jupiter Links Golf Club.
This innovative league features 15 matches comprising six teams filled with 24 of the world’s top golfers. The TGL aims to build excitement for fans and players alike as teams battle for a spot in the playoffs and a chance to compete for the SoFi Cup Finals Series scheduled for March 24-25.
Each match will feature nine holes of Triples, played in a three-on-three alternate-shot format, followed by six holes of Singles with rotating head-to-head competition. Teams gain one point for winning a hole, while ties earn no points. Notably, teams are now equipped with three “Hammers,” a game modifier that can change a hole’s value by one point if played correctly.
As of now, the SoFi Cup standings show The Bay Golf Club leading with 6 points, followed by Los Angeles Golf Club with 5, and Atlanta Drive Golf Club with 4 points. The weaker Boston Common Golf finds itself at the bottom of the standings with only 1 point from three matches.
TGL was co-founded by golf legends Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy through their business venture, TMRW Sports. The league has attracted significant attention, culminating in matches held at the custom-built SoFi Center in Palm Beach, adding an engaging atmosphere for the live audience.
Mike McCarley, CEO of TMRW Sports, stated, “Our season complements traditional sports with fast-paced team competitions that cater to a diverse audience. TGL’s format and match lengths are ideal for prime-time viewing, facilitating a connection between fans and legendary golfers.”
The matches will be broadcast live on ESPN and Sky Sports, ensuring fans globally can stay connected with the tournament action. With top players such as Woods and McIlroy participating, the anticipation is high for the upcoming week. The thrill of the competition is further heightened by the interesting team dynamics and match structures, promising an exhilarating second half of the season.
Looking forward to Week 7, all eyes will be on how the teams adjust strategies and whether new stars will emerge as fixtures at TGL.
