TGL Week 7 Features Competitive Showdowns Among Top Golf Teams

Palm Beach Gardens, FL — The TGL competition enters Week 7 with all six teams set to compete in an exciting doubleheader on Monday. Opening the matchups, the Los Angeles Golf Club will face off against the New York Golf Club, followed by a clash between Boston Common Golf and Atlanta Drive Golf Club seeking their first victory of the season. The action continues Tuesday with the league-leading Bay Golf Club taking on Jupiter Links Golf Club.
The TGL’s regular season consists of 15 matches featuring six teams that include 24 of the world’s finest golfers. Ultimately, teams are vying to secure a spot in the SoFi Cup Finals Series, scheduled for March 24-25, where the top two teams will compete in a best-of-three format for the prestigious trophy.
In each match, teams will play nine holes in a Triples format, where three players compete in an alternate-shot match, followed by six holes of Singles revolving around head-to-head play. Each hole is worth one point, awarded to the team with the fewest strokes. Ties yield no points, and the recently introduced “Hammers” can enhance the stakes as each team may utilize three during the match to increase a hole’s value temporarily.
Currently, the SoFi Cup standings showcase The Bay Golf Club leading with six points and a perfect record of 3-0. Los Angeles Golf Club follows closely with five points, while Atlanta Drive holds four points with a mixed record. Meanwhile, both New York Golf Club and Jupiter Links Golf Club have earned two points each, and Boston Common Golf rounds out the standings with one point.
Monday’s matches see Los Angeles Golf Club collide with New York Golf Club, while Boston Common Golf aims to change its fortunes against Atlanta Drive Golf Club. Tuesday will feature the highly anticipated match between The Bay Golf Club and Jupiter Links Golf Club.
“TGL’s format offers a fast-paced, team-oriented competition designed to engage a diverse audience of sports fans,” said Mike McCarley, CEO of TMRW Sports. He noted that the unique aspects, including a two-hour match structure and a lively arena atmosphere, are crafted to provide an optimal fan experience.
Fans watching live at the SoFi Center will experience a state-of-the-art venue designed for dynamic viewer engagement, resembling courtside seating at an NBA game. The facility boasts a massive simulator screen and a specialized short game complex featuring motorized actuators to transform the playing surface throughout matches.
The TGL, started by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy through TMRW Sports, aims to revolutionize how golf is enjoyed, with matches broadcast live on ESPN and Sky Sports for audiences nationwide and internationally. With the league entering its critical week, player performances will be pivotal in deciding playoff spots as the season progresses.
As anticipation builds for Monday night’s matches, golf enthusiasts are eager to witness the latest developments in the TGL and see which team can take command of the standings.
