Oklahoma City Thunder Vs Minnesota Timberwolves

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The Oklahoma City Thunder edged out the Minnesota Timberwolves 128-126 in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals on May 26, 2025, taking a commanding 3-1 series lead.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with an impressive performance, scoring 40 points and dishing out 10 assists. His offensive prowess, combined with 34 points from Jalen Williams, helped Oklahoma City withstand a late rally from Minnesota.

The game stayed close, with the Timberwolves attempting to claw back in the second half, cutting the lead to just one point late in the game. Despite a strong effort, including a 41-point fourth quarter by Minnesota, the Thunder held on for the win.

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault praised his team’s defensive efforts, emphasizing standout performances from players like Lu Dort, who successfully limited Timberwolves’ star Anthony Edwards to only 16 points.

“We faced a lot of adversity, but our guys stepped up, especially in crunch time,” Daigneault said after the game.

For Minnesota, Nickeil Alexander-Walker played a crucial role off the bench, scoring 23 points, while Donte DiVincenzo added 21 points. However, Minnesota’s 23 turnovers proved costly. Coach Chris Finch reflected on the team’s struggle with ball control.

“Turnovers have haunted us this series. It’s something we need to fix fast,” Finch stated.

With the victory, the Thunder are now just one win away from their first NBA Finals appearance since 2012. Game 5 is set for May 28 in Oklahoma City.
