Detroit Tigers Game Comerica Park April 2025

DETROIT, Mich. — The Detroit Tigers have announced changes to the game times for their upcoming home series against the New York Yankees due to expected cold weather conditions.

Originally scheduled to start at 6:40 p.m., the first pitch for the games on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday has been moved up to 3:10 p.m. and 1:10 p.m. respectively. The adjustments were made in response to wind chills anticipated to be in the 20s, according to forecasts from The Weather Channel.

The forecast for Detroit indicates daytime highs of 46 degrees on Monday, dropping to 40 on Tuesday and rising to 44 on Wednesday. Such temperatures, paired with wind chill factors, prompted the Tigers’ decision to reschedule the games.

The Tigers are currently finishing a three-game home series against the Chicago White Sox, with games taking place over the weekend at Comerica Park. This change reflects the team’s commitment to ensuring the safety and comfort of players and fans alike.

As the season progresses, these adjustments may become more frequent depending on local weather patterns and forecasts.
