Detroit Tigers And Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Game

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — The Detroit Tigers are set to face the Milwaukee Brewers for a three-game series starting Monday, following a successful yet challenging start to the season marked by injuries.

The Tigers, who are currently 9-6, have managed to win every series since being swept by the Los Angeles Dodgers in their season opener. Recently, they took two games against the Minnesota Twins before dropping their series finale on Sunday. Despite facing significant player injuries, Tigers manager A.J. Hinch praised his team’s strength and resilience.

“Just play the game that’s in front of you,” Hinch said. “We can’t do anything more than that with anybody who is not here. Our toughness, our resilience, our fight, our character — all of that stuff is guaranteed.”

The Tigers come into this series dealing with several injuries, including key players like Parker Meadows and Jose Urquidy on the injured list. In contrast, the Brewers are navigating their own injury challenges, with a list that includes pitchers Tobias Myers and Brandon Woodruff among others.

Milwaukee has a 3-3 record after a six-game road trip and now sits at an even 8-8 for the season. The Brewers are looking to regain momentum against the Tigers after a mixed performance against the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks. Brewers catcher Jackson Chourio leads the team with five homers and 17 RBIs this season.

“We need to put a few more runs on the board,” said Brewers shortstop Brice Turang, referring to the team’s current offensive struggles.

In head-to-head matchups, the Tigers are set to face Brewers pitchers Tyler Alexander, Quinn Priester, and José Quintana over the course of the series.

Fans can catch the games starting Monday, April 14, at 6:40 p.m. CDT. The series represents a pivotal moment for both teams as they aim to solidify their standings within the league.
