Tigers Return Home to Face Guardians in Key Series

Detroit, Mich. — After a successful road trip, the Detroit Tigers are back home to start a four-game series against the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday night. This matchup comes as the Tigers aim to maintain their winning momentum through May.
The Tigers, currently one of the hottest teams in baseball, recently completed a six-game road trip where they triumphed against the Toronto Blue Jays and the St. Louis Cardinals. They took two of three games from the Jays and won two of three against the Cardinals.
With victories in seven of their last nine games, the Tigers hold a commanding 5.5-game lead in the American League Central. They own the best record in both the division (33-17) and Major League Baseball as a whole. The Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals trail them in the division.
The Guardians, sitting at fourth place in the Central, are six games behind the Tigers, holding a record of 26-22. As the teams prepare for Thursday’s game, both look to improve their standings in the competitive division.
The matchup is scheduled for 6:40 p.m. ET at Comerica Park in Detroit, Mich. Fans can catch the game on the FanDuel Sports Network and MLB Network.
