Tim Boyle Steps In for Miami Dolphins After Tyler Huntley’s Injury
In a significant development for the Miami Dolphins, quarterback Tim Boyle has been called into action following an injury to starter Tyler Huntley. During the Dolphins’ game against the Indianapolis Colts, Huntley suffered a right shoulder injury, making him questionable to return. This led to Boyle entering the game with 6:27 left in the third quarter.
Boyle, who is 29 years old and stands at 6’4″ and 233 lbs, was recently signed to the active roster from the practice squad. This move was part of the Dolphins’ roster adjustments, which also included placing long snapper Blake Ferguson on the reserve/non-football illness list.
This is not Boyle’s first appearance for the Dolphins this season. He previously played in Week Three after Skylar Thompson was injured in a 24-3 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Huntley had taken over as the starter in the subsequent week, but Thompson remains inactive as the emergency third quarterback.
As the Dolphins navigate their quarterback situation, there is also anticipation about the potential return of Tua Tagovailoa, who could be back for Week Eight. However, for now, Tim Boyle will be at the helm for the remainder of Sunday’s game).
