Timberwolves Playoff Game, Alex Rodriguez, Jaclyn Cordeiro

Los Angeles, CA – Alex Rodriguez was all smiles on Saturday night as he watched the Minnesota Timberwolves dominate the Los Angeles Lakers in Game 1 of their first-round NBA playoff series, winning 117-95. The former Yankees star, now co-owner of the Timberwolves, enjoyed the game courtside with his girlfriend, fitness coach Jaclyn Cordeiro.

The victory was significant for Rodriguez, especially after a recent arbitration ruling favored him and his business partner Marc Lore in their ownership dispute with Glen Taylor, the previous owner of the team. Earlier this month, Taylor agreed to transfer full ownership of the Timberwolves and the WNBA’s Lynx to Rodriguez and Lore after a lengthy negotiation process.

The Timberwolves’ success in the playoff opener saw them set a franchise record for three-pointers made in a playoff game, nailing 21 shots from beyond the arc. Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels played pivotal roles in the offense, effectively exploiting the Lakers’ defensive lapses.

Rodriguez highlighted the importance of health and fitness in his life, crediting Cordeiro with helping him lose over 30 pounds. “I’ve been working hard and trying to stay in shape,” he said, reflecting on his commitment to health. The couple, known for their coordinated outfits, appeared relaxed amid a sea of disappointed Lakers fans.

The Timberwolves, riding high with a 1-0 series lead, are set to continue their playoff run with Game 2 on Tuesday. With Rodriguez and Lore’s ownership becoming official soon, fans have plenty to look forward to in this new era for the franchise.
