Lloyd Cushenberry Tennessee Titans Injury

The Tennessee Titans are facing a significant setback with the news that center Lloyd Cushenberry is likely to miss the remainder of the season due to an Achilles injury. Cushenberry suffered the injury during the Titans’ 20-17 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday.

Initially reported as an ankle injury, further evaluation has revealed that Cushenberry has sustained an Achilles injury, which is expected to keep him sidelined for the rest of the campaign. This diagnosis was confirmed by reports from multiple sources, including comments from the team after the game.

Cushenberry, one of the Titans’ five captains, has been a key figure in the team’s offensive line despite not meeting the high expectations set when he was signed to a four-year, $50 million contract with $26 million fully guaranteed. His absence will be felt, as he has been a steadying force for the offense.

In his place, Corey Levin, a veteran lineman who was called up from the practice squad, filled in during the game against the Patriots. Levin had a few high shotgun snaps but managed to hold his ground. Moving forward, Daniel Brunskill is likely to take over as the starting center, with Levin available as an extra interior lineman.

This injury adds to the Titans’ current roster challenges, as right guard Dillon Radunz was also out with a foot injury, and safety Quandre Diggs is dealing with a foot issue as well.
