Tommy Dreamer Praises AEW Star Penelope Ford’s Impressive Comeback

NEW ARK, N.J. — AEW Women’s Champion Toni Storm has been on a winning streak, especially in her recent Eliminator Matches. However, Tommy Dreamer, a veteran of ECW, recently praised another competitor, Penelope Ford, for her impressive return to the ring.

In a discussion on the “Busted Open After Dark” podcast, Dreamer expressed his admiration for Ford, who returned to action after a two-year hiatus. “I will praise Penelope Ford again. Every time I watch her, that woman improves,” Dreamer stated. “She’s giving me Liv Morgan vibes. She just needs to piece a couple of things together and that woman could be a mega star within the industry. Super athletic, just really has improved every single time I see her. I really enjoy watching her work.”

Dreamer also highlighted the dynamic between Ford and her partner, Megan Bayne, comparing it to that of WWE stars Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. “Her and Megan Bayne together are one thing, but if she ever turns on Megan Bayne, or if you see what Liv and Raquel are doing in WWE, it was kind of special,” he remarked. “Penelope Ford gives me those vibes.”

Ford has made her presence felt in AEW since aligning with Bayne and has become a regular on television. Following her recent matches, including a four-way Elimination Match against Storm, Anna Jay, and Thunder Rosa, she has gained more recognition.

In that match, Storm secured victory, aided by interference from Bayne and Harley Cameron.
