Top Home Run Prop Bets for Friday from Zach Thompson

ATLANTA, Georgia — Major League Baseball kicks off the weekend with a bustling Friday schedule featuring 30 teams, including the Braves and Padres in Atlanta. Bettor Zach Thompson shares his top three home run prop picks for tonight’s games, spotlighting Matt Olson, Kerry Carpenter, and Agustin Ramirez.
Thompson notes the favorable hitting environment at Truist Park, where the Braves will play the Red Sox in their series opener. Boston’s starter Lucas Giolito has given up five home runs in just under 28 innings this season. Two weeks ago, he surrendered three homers to the Braves in one outing, including a shot to Olson, who has a strong career batting average of .538 against Giolito with 4 home runs in 13 at-bats.
“Olson is heating up at the plate with five home runs in his last 11 games,” Thompson said. “With the wind blowing out, expect him to keep the momentum going.”
In Kansas City, Thompson highlights Tigers’ outfielder Kerry Carpenter, who is facing Seth Lugo. Lugo has allowed nine home runs in his first nine starts, with a significant amount of damage done by left-handed hitters. Carpenter, nicknamed “Kerry Bonds,” has hit 10 home runs this season and has been particularly powerful against right-handers.
“Carpenter’s hard hit rate is impressive, particularly against righties. At over +400, he’s a value play for a home run tonight,” Thompson added.
Lastly, Thompson points out rookie catcher Agustin Ramirez of the Marlins, who is quickly establishing himself since his call-up. Ramirez has seven home runs and a solid batting average of .262 in the majors this year. He faces lefty Kyle Harrison of the Giants, who has given up two homers in just over 9 innings pitched.
“With Ramirez hitting .311 at home and the potential for multiple at-bats against the Giants’ bullpen, he’s a solid long-shot at +500,” Thompson concluded.
As the excitement builds for tonight’s games, bettors are reminded that home run props remain high-risk, long-shot bets but can add thrill to the viewing experience.
