ROME, Italy — The Italian Open 2025, an esteemed ATP Masters 1000 event, is set to kick off on May 7, bringing together some of the world’s top tennis players. Held at the historic Foro Italico, the tournament will continue until May 18, with both men’s and women’s draws included.

Top-seeded players will gather for this final clay-court Masters 1000 event of the season. Among them are ATP No. 1 Jannik Sinner, 2022 champion Alexander Zverev, and Carlos Alcaraz. The Belgian player David Goffin leads the qualifiers, aiming to make a mark as he enters his first Masters 1000 main draw.

The draw for the tournament is scheduled for May 5 at noon CEST. It will feature a lineup rich in talent, including stars like Felix Auger-Aliassime and Taylor Fritz. Rising American talents, including Ben Shelton and Brandon Nakashima, are also expected to deliver strong performances.

Prize money for the event totals approximately €8,055,385, with the singles winner set to receive €985,030 and 1,000 ranking points. This significant sum reflects the tournament’s prestige and the dedication of players seeking to improve their rankings.

The schedule of matches is as follows: qualifying rounds will be held on May 5 and 6, starting at 10 a.m. Main draw matches begin May 7, with the singles final slated for May 18 at 5 p.m.
