Toronto Raptors' Scottie Barnes Sidelined With Hand Injury

The Toronto Raptors faced a setback as their rising star, Scottie Barnes, suffered an unfortunate injury during their recent game against the Golden State Warriors.

Barnes, a key player for the Raptors, sustained a fractured third metacarpal bone in his left hand, leading to an indefinite absence from the team’s lineup. The injury occurred in the first half when Barnes collided with the rim while attempting to block a shot.

Following the incident, Barnes was immediately taken off the court and underwent evaluation and treatment in the locker room. Coach Darko Rajakovic expressed concern for Barnes’ condition, indicating that further assessments were being conducted.

Despite playing through discomfort, Barnes managed to contribute 10 points and six rebounds in just 16 minutes of gameplay before being forced to exit the match. This injury marks the end of his impressive streak of five consecutive double-doubles.

The Toronto Raptors organization, along with insights from The Associated Press, confirmed the extent of Barnes’ injury, highlighting the impact it will have on the team’s performance in upcoming games.
