This weekend, Toronto is buzzing with excitement as the popular VELD Music Festival returns for its 11th edition at Downsview Park. From August 2nd to 4th, electronic dance music lovers are in for a treat with a lineup that features an impressive array of over 60 artists.

Headliners like Ben Böhmer, Marshmello, Steve Aoki, and Martin Garrix are set to take the stage. Tonight, the crowd can look forward to performances by Gryffin and Fisher, along with a DJ set from local actor Shamier Anderson, who starred in John Wick 4.

Saturday promises non-stop music from big names such as Kaskade and Marshmello, while Sunday will bring forth a vibrant lineup including Alesso, Alok, and Kream.

For festival-goers, VELD has introduced a new app to help plan their experience. It includes a scheduling feature, a map for the festival grounds, and real-time updates and announcements throughout the event.

Attendees should keep in mind that the festival is cashless, so only credit or debit cards will be accepted for food, drinks, and merchandise. Also, remember that smaller bags are allowed, and professional cameras are a no-go.

In terms of getting there, TTC has advised commuters that Line 1 will close early at 11:59 p.m. on Friday due to scheduled track work, so attendees should plan accordingly.

If you’re looking to keep the party going, there are 12 after parties lined up at venues like Rebel and Department over the course of the weekend, ensuring the fun doesn’t stop when the festival does!
