Torrey Craig In Celtics Jersey

BOSTON — Torrey Craig, the 34-year-old forward, signed with the Boston Celtics on Feb. 8, 2025, seeking a chance to compete for an NBA title, according to ESPN‘s Dave McMenamin. Craig, a free agent after being released by the Chicago Bulls, quickly agreed to a deal with Boston, which offers him an opportunity to play at the highest level and aligns with his competitive spirit.

Craig, recovering from a sprained right ankle since Dec. 30, joins the Celtics as they defend their title. Despite his current injury, he expressed optimism about his progress, stating, ‘As a competitor in the league, you always want to play for something and compete for something. I’m a super competitor and I want to play basketball the right way at the highest level. Just to get an opportunity to come play with these guys was like a no-brainer.’

‘They’re a deep team, super talented,’ Craig added, praising his new team. ‘Well-coached, well-disciplined. They play the right way. They know what it takes to win playing defense. Playing together and having each other’s backs. You can just see it. The team chemistry and they allow each other to feed off each other and play together and I think that’s why they’ve been so dominant these past couple years.’ Craig began his integration with a tour of the Celtics’ facilities and accompanied the team to their game against the New York Knicks.

Although Craig’s role may be limited, he brings veteran wing depth and three-point shooting to the Celtics, enhancing their already formidable roster.
