The Towson University basketball teams experienced mixed results in their recent games. On the men’s side, the Towson Tigers suffered a close loss to the Kennesaw State Owls. The game, which took place on Friday night, went into overtime, with the Owls ultimately emerging victorious with a 67-63 score. Despite the loss, Mekhi Lowery of the Tigers had a notable performance, registering the team’s first double-double of the season.

In contrast, the Towson Women’s Basketball team secured a victory over Youngstown State. The game, played on November 30, saw the Tigers dominate in the second half. Key statistics included Towson scoring 12 second-chance points to Youngstown State’s three and shooting 62.5% from three-point range, significantly better than the Penguins‘ 35.0%. The Tigers also had a strong bench performance, contributing 36 points.

Looking ahead, the men’s team is set to face the UC Irvine Anteaters on Saturday, November 30, at 9:30 PM ET. The Anteaters are currently on a seven-game winning streak and will host the Tigers in this upcoming matchup.
