Football Transfer Rumors Germany June 2025

Munich, Germany – Although the general transfer window in Germany has yet to open, speculation around player transfers is rampant.

Martín Zubimendi, the Spanish national player, is reportedly on the verge of leaving Real Sociedad. Transfer insider Fabrizio Romano announced that Zubimendi has turned down an opportunity to join Xabi Alonso‘s Real Madrid, as the club sees him as an ideal successor to Toni Kroos.

Zubimendi himself appeared open to joining Madrid, having been coached by Alonso during his tenure at Sociedad. However, it seems the much-anticipated reunion is unlikely.

In other transfer news, Bayer Leverkusen is reportedly interested in Jack Grealish. According to The Sun, new coach Erik ten Hag believes Grealish could be the perfect replacement for the outgoing Florian Wirtz, who is pursuing a move to Liverpool.

Grealish, under contract at Manchester City until 2027, has struggled for form lately, leading to speculation about a potential exit. City might demand a fee of around £40 million (approximately €47 million) for the midfielder, who was signed for a record £100 million from Aston Villa in 2021.

Grealish may face competition from other clubs including Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, and SSC Napoli.

Meanwhile, Barcelona‘s Marc-André ter Stegen is also in the spotlight. After enduring a severe injury, the goalkeeper’s future is uncertain amid rumors of interest from other clubs. Reports suggest that Barça even offered to pay ter Stegen a year’s salary to facilitate a transfer, primarily focusing on his position as a German national team keeper ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, the Italian national goalkeeper for PSG, is also drawing attention as he has not yet committed to a contract extension with the club. Manchester United and City are reportedly eyeing Donnarumma as well.

Young talent Gio Mastantuono from River Plate is nearing a move to Real Madrid, as the club is eager to secure his services. The 17-year-old is expected to sign a six-year contract for €45 million.

Jobe Bellingham, younger brother of Jude Bellingham, is set to join Borussia Dortmund from Sunderland for a fee that might reach €33 million, plus bonuses.

Lastly, Paris Saint-Germain has expressed interest in Minjae Kim of Bayern Munich, indicating they may target him as a reinforcement for their squad.
