Travis Head Surpasses 7,500 International Runs in Cricket

LAHORE, Pakistan — Australian cricketer Travis Head has achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 7,500 runs in international cricket during a league match against Afghanistan on February 28, 2025, at Gaddafi Stadium.
Head entered the match needing just 19 runs to reach the landmark. With this achievement, he has joined an elite group of only 20 players who have scored more international runs for Australia. Interestingly, his last outing against Afghanistan resulted in a duck, but prior scores in the Champions Trophy included a steady 71 not out.
When analyzing Head’s contributions in Asia, he has excelled with over 1,000 runs in just 28 matches, averaging more than 41. This includes three centuries and four half-centuries, with the majority of these runs—537 to be specific—scored in India, where he maintains an impressive average.
